Job Description:

• Software Developer/ Perl Developer
• Design and Development of new web applications implementing complex business logic.
• Maintenance of existing web applications.
• Development of backend scripts for batch processes.

Candidate Profile

• 3 to 4 years of Web application development experience in a UNIX/ LINUX/ Perl environment.
• Thorough understanding of Perl/mod_perl programming concepts and principles.
• Demonstrable understanding and knowledge of popular CPAN Modules like DBI , DBIx::Class ,
• LWP::UserAgent , LWP::Simple
• Thorough understanding of Object Oriented Programming concepts and Techniques.
• Experience in Frontend technologies like CSS / JQuery / HTML / JavaScript.
• Experience in at least one web templating system like Mason/Template Toolkit or others.
• Demonstrable understanding of XML/SQL.
• Excellent knowledge of HTTP protocol.

Skills

• Knowledge of Mason Application Framework.
• Demonstrable understanding of PostgreSQL database design and utilization.
• Experience in optimizing Web applications and SQL.
